How do I get faster

Easy question 😮

  • Breathe
  • Look where you are going
  • Use your whole body and not just your arms
  • Pull the paddle in a straight line (to make you paddle straighter)
  • Keep the board smooth through the water (bouncing is slow)
  • Paddle more strokes per minute
  • Count your paddle strokes to calm your mind down
  • Prepare some personal motivation phrases for when things go wrong
  • Know your goals and be in touch with your motivation for being here

Now each one of these is a post of its own, but choose a couple, and think about them the next time you are trying to ramp up the speed.

The biggest thing you can do: is join a group who are also trying to improve their speed.
